Job Title: Produce Clerk

Position Summary
The Produce Clerk is responsible for stocking, rotating, and merchandising fresh produce
while delivering exceptional customer service. This position ensures the produce
department remains clean, fresh, and fully stocked during daytime hours. The clerk works
closely with the Produce Manager and team to uphold quality and presentation standards
that reflect the values of Rainbow Acres.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and offer assistance with product selection.
- Answer questions about produce items, including organic vs. conventional, storage tips,
- and ripeness.
- Provide product recommendations and suggest recipe ideas when appropriate.
- Stocking & Merchandising
- Stock and rotate fresh fruits and vegetables according to FIFO standards.
- Ensure displays are clean, organized, and well merchandised.
- Monitor produce quality and remove items that are damaged, spoiled, or overripe.
- Label products clearly with accurate signage and pricing.
Receiving and Prep
- Assist in receiving deliveries and check for quality and accuracy.
- Wash, trim, and package produce as needed for display and sale.
- Maintain storage coolers in a clean, organized condition.
Department Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment at all times.
- Follow all food safety procedures, including proper handwashing and glove use.
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize prep areas, displays, and coolers as scheduled.
Team Communication
- Communicate with the Produce Manager regarding product needs, shortages, or customer feedback.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain smooth department operations.
Key Qualifications
- 6 months grocery, produce, or food handling experience preferred.
- Passion for fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy living.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude.

Job Title: Deli Counter Clerk
Department: Deli
Reports to: Assistant Deli Manager, Deli Manager, and Foodservice Director
Summary
Prepares and serves food at the deli counter including juices, sandwiches, and hot bar items
while providing friendly customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and serve hot food.
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized.
- Follow recipes and portioning guidelines.
- Ensure proper food handling, rotation, and labeling.
- Provide excellent service and respond to customer needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in foodservice or deli preferred.
- Customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
- Capable of lifting 30 lbs and standing for long periods.

Position Summary
The Cashier is the face of our store and plays a critical role in creating a friendly and
efficient checkout experience for customers. This position requires excellent customer
service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet every customer warmly and professionally.
- Accurately ring up purchases using the POS system.
- Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, credit, EBT, etc.).
- Count back change and handle money with accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked register area.
- Uphold store policies and health/safety standards.
- Support opening and closing duties including facing shelves and restocking supplies.
- Assist customers with questions and direct them to the appropriate department.
- Notify supervisors of any customer or equipment issues.
Key Qualifications
- 6+ months of retail or cashiering experience preferred.
- Strong math and communication skills.
- Friendly, patient, and positive attitude.

- Support inventory counts and displays.
- Refer complex questions to Wellness Manager.
Qualifications
- Interest or background in health and wellness products.
- Retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
